BIM’s new brand identity unveiled at their inaugural national seafood awards, reflects four key priorities of skills, sustainability, innovation and competitiveness.
‘It is consistent with our vision for Ireland to become the international leader in high value differentiated seafood products that satisfy growing domestic and international demand for nutritious, safe and resonsibly and sustainably produced food.’
The new identify reflects a ‘multifaceted industry’ that includes ‘fishermen to fish farmers, processors, retailers, government departments and coastal communities’.
It captures the ‘close working relationship’ built around the idea of ‘shaping Ireland’s seafood industry’ by incorporating two interlocking waves of ‘industry’ and ‘agency’ working together.
Irish seafood contributes €1bn in GDP to Ireland’s economy, employing over 11,000 people directly and indirectly.
